What an album! Riff piles on riff to unleash blistering madness. This is supposed to be a one-man project? I am deeply impressed. I praise the internet every day because it makes it possible to identify gems like this all over the world. E_H

Completely unique and original low-fi black metal with a soft, nostalgic and romantic atmosphere - straight out of early Burzum's playbook. porcelainheart-

I had liked previous Lamp of Murmuur releases but they didn't stand out for me like they did for some folks. I guess that I am less blown away by 'excellently executed example of this subgenre' than most. But this? This is great. If the Sisters of Mercy-esque cover wasn't enough to tip you off, the first track will. This is black metal combined with post punk, goth and death rock, along with some flashes of Petty/Knopfler esque guitar work. It's emotive, it's fun, it's catchy as fuck. William Knight

I fucking love Kommodus! They singlehandedly got me into raw black metal. This is not an easy listen, but it struck just the right chord with me. It might with you too. Tons of little melodies on the dl. Vocals spit pure red mana Onanjath
