Sorrowful indeed. Utterly beautiful blackened doom metal with melody that draws out a cathartic release. Its works like these that have me believe what Schopenhauer said about music was true, that it speaks truth to what is at our most core.

I love how the album moves from swamp as metaphor for the self-delusions that hold us back to bogs and the ancient remains they conceal within as pathways to deeper, terrifying spiritual awakenings that reveal the primeval horrors that lurk just at the edges of our consciousness.

If you want riffs -and- production value, check the later full length, but this demo has riffs for days. Brilliantly catchy and intense slow-death from Sewercide alums, just expect to have to crank it as this is a demo that definitely sounds like one.
